Blessed By Autism

In 2005-2006 we as a family were Blessed by Autism when we received the diagnosis that our son had Autism. Blessed? Yes blessed! As a family and as parents we quickly realized that there are bigger and more meaningful things in life like selflessness, unconditional love, dedication, devotion and being the voice of those who society most often silences and pushes off to the corner. We realized that you truly don’t have selfless love and devotion until something drastic or a major life changing events happen to you! Overcoming challenges in our lives is hard work and many times you must put in so much time and effort whether it’s hourly, daily, weekly or yearly to begin to diminish and chip away at those challenges. We have accepted the challenge of Autism in our lives and have attacked it head on!
